La Fouly is the natural end of the Grand Col Ferret day: roughly 20 km from Bonatti, over the highest point of the Tour, with 1400 m of descent in the second half. Most people arrive with tired quadriceps and no interest in walking further. The gîte is the first thing you reach. Tomorrow is easy by comparison — a valley day to Champex with one modest climb at the end — so this is a good night to eat and sleep rather than plan.
